Services

In addition to general medical consultations, the following services are available:

• Home / Out of Surgery visits
  These are usually reserved for the elderly and the very sick.  Requests for home visits should be made before 10am.  Visits to Nursing Homes, Hospitals and Hostels can also be arranged.  Home Visits are made only at the Doctor’s discretion.
• General Health Check-ups
• Family Planning
  Prenatal Planning and advice and Postnatal 6 weeks check ups for Mothers and Babies
• Antenatal shared care
  Antenatal Care for low risk patients shared with Ballarat Health Services Antenatal Clinic.
• Spirometry
  Pulmonary Function Testing.  $5 charge for reusable tube used during testing
• Immunisations (childhood, adult, travel)
  Childhood, Adult and some Travel Immunisations.(Please phone to check availability of Travel Immunisations prior to to booking an appointment)
• Minor Surgery
  Our Doctors perform in-office surgical procedures.  These include skin cancer treatment, Implanon insertion and removal, repair of lacerations, foreign body removal etc.
• Skin Cancer Diagnosis and Management
  All our doctors are able to perform skin checks and treat minor lesions.
  Dr's Maher and Jonasson have undertaken further training in Skin Cancer medicine, and perform more complex procedures.

  Digital monitoring of lesions and total body photography
  ("mole mapping") are available on request.
  Dr. Maher is a Fellow of the Skin Cancer College of Australasia and an accredited skin cancer doctor.

• ECG
  is the process of recording the electrical activity of the heart over a period of time using electrodes placed on a patient's body.
• Health assessments
  45-49 year old Health Assessment and Over 75 Health Assessment.  These are done by our Nurses and Doctors, to help identify potential health issues.
• GP Management Plans
  If you have a chronic medical condition, your doctor may suggest a GP Management Plan, to formalize the appropriate actions that should be taken to optimize your care.
  If you need treatment from 2 or more health professionals, your doctor may also put a Team Care Arrangement plan in place for you. This enables you to access further MEDICARE funding for extra health services you require.

• Advance Care Planning
  Discussions with patients and or their representatives about the goals and desired direction of the patient's care particularly end-of-life care in the event that the patient is or becomes incompetent to make decisions.
• Preventative Care
  Medical Care that seeks to prevent illnesses.
• Diabetes Risk Assessment
  Medical  Care that seeks to assess the risk of a patient developing Diabetes in the future.
